The Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital recently donated dozens of patient beds, stretchers and recliners to Bluefields Hospital in Nicaragua. RSF made the donation through MedShare, an international humanitarian aid organization that collects surplus medical supplies and biomedical equipment in the United States and distributes them to healthcare partners around the world. Other items donated by RSF include two nursery rocking chairs, 14 baby transport carts, and a pediatric exam table. This donation is part of RSF’s ongoing relationship with Bluefields Hospital. Projects like this are just another way RSF supports the health of communities here in the Lowcountry and around the world.
