The Quarterly Business Meeting of the Medical Society of South Carolina is scheduled for Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Riviera, 227 King Street, Charleston, SC. Our business meeting will begin at 7 p.m. with heavy hors d‘oeuvres at 8 p.m.
As was noted on the February 28th meeting agenda, June 30, 2012, will mark the expiration for David M. Ellison, M.D., who serves as Physician At-Large Directors on the Roper St. Francis Board of Directors representing the Medical Society of South Carolina. As Dr. Ellison is ineligible to serve an additional consecutive term, the MSSC Board nominated Dr. Shanon Honney at the February 28th meeting and Dr. Wilson opened the floor for additional nominations. However, none were heard and the nominations were closed. With Dr. Honney’s uncontested nomination, a motion will be made at the April 23, 2012, meeting to accept the nomination by acclimation. Dr. Honney’s nomination will be submitted to the Roper Saint Francis Healthcare Nominating Committee for approval.
